C├ęcile Jodogne

Secretary of State in charge of Foreign Trade

Brussels-Capital Region

After graduating in Geography and Economy, she chose early on to devote her career to her city and Region. Since 1992, her various political functions have allowed her to shape a better future for Brussels, whether from a very local perspective, as the town planning alderman of the city of Schaerbeek, or from the very wide horizon offered by her appointment as Secretary of State for Foreign Trade. Being a Brussels native, she naturally takes great interest in the development of my Region. Brussels is an international city like no other. As the decision-making heart of Europe, it has become an international capital, where global opinion leaders meet to influence and do business, yet it remains small enough to allow its inhabitants to enjoy all the advantages of a human-size city. A Region of that importance needs a harmonious urban development as well as a strong foreign trade policy. Indeed, 62% of the Region’s GDP comes from exportations. Promoting Brussels abroad is thus of paramount importance. That’s why she takes part in many economic missions and international fairs.
